Our inspiration.
While growing up in Puerto Rico, I could not wait for mango and guava season. I would go to my grandparent’s back yard and pick the fruits right from their trees. When developing this sauce, I could not help but reflect on those memories.
Still, to this day, my mind is flooded with memories of my grandparents when I consume these fruits. My passion is to have people enjoy my cooking, which is heavily influenced by my family and can instantly transport me to the islands of Puerto Rico. I created this sauce so that my friends and family could also enjoy these flavors I hold dear and can themselves be whisked away by the “Caribbean Heat.”
